'Police showed respect for accused Sena corporator': Bombay HC on probe into doctors' assault case
The Bombay high court criticised police for showing favorable treatment to a Shiv Sena corporator. The court directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police to investigate the matter thoroughly. The accused corporator allegedly assaulted doctors and medical staff at a civic hospital. He was later granted bail, which the High Court had termed perverse. The court expressed surprise at his behavior towards the public he serves.
