14 killed, many missing as flash floods, landslides ravage J&K’s Poonch, Rajouri
Torrential rain caused flash floods and landslides in Poonch and Rajouri districts. At least fourteen people died, and several others remain missing after homes were buried. Rescue operations are underway for those trapped beneath debris and mud. Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar NH-44 was disrupted, and the Amarnath Yatra was suspended. Authorities issued a flood alert across Jammu division as river water levels surged.
